Immediately recognizable names such as Asia Carrera and Jenna Jameson got their start with Wicked Pictures. Their current vice president is Jackie Ramos and she has guided the studio along the recent porn industry woes to a creditable performance.
Hugely influential it is also a showcase of how its traditional media, videos and DVDs clash with the internet where the studio clearly feels it has to have a presence but is uneasy about allowing fans to download their favourites fearing it would lead to a drop in DVD sales.
The site itself has tremendous talent on show but comparatively nothing like the photosets it could have, no high resolution photographs, streaming video (sorry no downloads) and no high resolution video. It acts as a fantastic advertisement for its DVDs, it works well in terms of building a fan base for its stars but does little for the porn aficionado looking for some crisp downloads.
